"Based On A True Story", the new album from SICK OF IT ALL, sold around 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 30 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
The follow-up to 2006's "Death To Tyrants", "Based On A True Story" was recorded Antfarm Studios in Ã…rhus, Denmark with Danish producer Tue Madsen (HALFORD, BEHEMOTH, KATAKLYSM, THE HAUNTED). The cover artwork was created by Ernie Parada and can be viewed below.
"Based On A True Story" entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 40. The CD was made available as super exclusive limited edition in mediabook packaging, featuring a bonus DVD with performance footage from New York and London. Furthermore, the DVD contains an entertaining tour report and shows you the personal sides of the hardcore legends. The album is also available as colored vinyl (including the entire album on CD format),standard CD and digital download.
